As I grew up, the Uganda Electricity Board (UEB) erected concrete cement ‘poles’ that endured weather, careless drivers and fires.
We are tired of Umeme’s constant excuses. During the rainy season, they say the wind and rain are destroying the poles; in the dry season, the ants and fires are eating up the poles. Concrete poles are cost-effective and durable.
