A businessman on Katovu village in Kasawo sub-county was on Wednesday hacked to death. The deceased was identified as Steven Amunyu, 50, a businessman dealing in coffee and maize.
A businessman on Katovu village in Kasawo sub-county was on Wednesday hacked to death. The deceased was identified as Steven Amunyu, 50, a businessman dealing in coffee and maize.
The Police said the assailants waylaid Amunyu at about 8:30pm as he was returning home and killed him using a panga and an axe.
The deceased’s wife, Grace Nabanja, said they had land wrangles with some relatives.
The LC3 chairman, Badru Kafumbe and the area Police chief, Joseph Ojinga, said they both received complaints from Amunyu about death threats.
