Hundreds of mourners turned up for the burial of Kassiano Wadri’s father at Owaafa in Maracha/Terego district last week. Fabio Ezatiu Orio, who was believed to be about 100 years old, succumbed to multiple ailments that started in 2007, said Wadri, the opposition chief whip. The Arua Diocese bishop, the Rt. Rev. Frederick Drandua, challenged Christians to emulate Orio by being faithful to their wives.


Amuru gets health facilities

The German Development Services has handed over buildings worth sh256m to the district officials. They included a maternity ward, staff unit at Alero health centre III, classrooms, sub-county headquarters and pit-latrines. The district health officer, Dr. Patrick Odong, said the maternity ward and staff quarters would uplift the health standards in the area.
