UGANDA Olympic Committee has in an effort to ease its outreach program me classified its 21 affiliate federations according to capabilities.

“We’ve got those above average, the average ones and those below average,” said UOC vice president (administration) Abby Mubiru.

However, Mubiru who did not identify the federations in the three groups, explained that the categorisation was based on level of development, organisation and performance.

“It helps identify which body requires more assistance,” noted Mubiru.
The grouping is part of UOC’s strategic development plan.

The plan is one of the efforts taken by new UOC president Rogers Ddungu to streamline the committee’s relationship with federations in a bid to boost performance.

The plan being developed by a consultancy Worldwide Marketing Associates is currently developing a communication policy with UOC’s executive. On Tuesday, the firm headed by Dennis Mbidde, had a brain storming session with the UOC
