SOCCER - German company Nottuln has distributed up to 1000kg of football equipment to academies in Kampala in a bid to help FUFA encourage children to play the game.
The first beneficiaries include over 20 kid groups around Kamwokya and Ntinda. German coaches Timm Barkam and Dirk Boinghoff through ex-footballer Godfrey Tebandeke donated the equipment that includes balls, jerseys and training bibs.

SCRABBLE - Top scrabble seed, Edwin Mugisha has maintained the lead in the national scrabble championship qualifiers that ended over the weekend in Mbarara. The local ace managed 14 wins in the two-day event where each participant played 18 games. “I expected a win and nothing else,” Mugisha said. In second place was Julius Ahimbisibwe who relegated Richard Geria down to third.

SOCCER - Wakiso football fans have launched a corporate league to coincide with kick off of the Premiership. It was launched with a friendly game where the Wakiso Team beat Big Zone 3-1 at St. Augustine ground. The gala is coordinated by Eddie Kateregga.
