Encouraging students to study sciences in schools will help transform society at a faster rate, the education minister has said Geraldine Bitamazire was speaking last week during a tour of the newly-rehabilitated science laboratories at Moroto High School. She was accompanied by an Irish delegation.
The Irish foreign affairs minister, Michael Martin, together with ambassador Kevin Kelly were in Karamoja to commission the infrastructure, recently renovated with support from their government.
A total of 13 schools and training institutions have been constructed in the region in the past five years.
