MBALE side CRO wound up their 2009-10 Uganda Super League season with a seven goal blitz yesterday.

Frank “Video” Anyau’s side whipped a nine-man Arua Central 7-0 in a match where Robert Magomu struck a hat trick.

More pain was inflicted on the visitors by Junior Zaake who had a brace. Fred Makokha and Sammy Mumelo scored CRO’s other goals.

CRO finished with 40 points in 13th position, just two places away from the drop zone. They won 10 matches and drew 11.

Notably missing during Arua’s demolition was CRO coach Anyau who is currently on national duty with the U-20.

Arua will be back in action today in yet another away encounter. Just 24 hours after playing Mbale, the West Nile side will be taking on another relegated side Iganga Town Council.

It is a formality match. Whatever the result, the two sides can’t alter their fate of being relegated.

Arua and third from bottom Iganga will be relegated together with Hoima and Maji.
