THE Uganda Securities Exchange (USE) on Friday formally announced Joseph Kitamirike as its new chief executive with effect from today.

The New Vision broke the story of Kitamirike’s appointment a week ago as he was slated to resign as the chief executive officer of National Housing. He has served the Government parastatal from 2004 to 2010.

“He joins the exchange at the most exciting stage of securities market development in Uganda, the move towards more efficient electronic systems of trading, settlement and securities holding,” read a statement from USE.
