Pastor Musoke had agreed with his wife that due to the financial demands of children’s fees, loan repayments and sickly relatives, they were to postpone all plans to buy anything in excess of sh100,000 without consulting each other.

Soon after, he found a new dress in the wardrobe and confronted her after finding a price tag of sh420,000. “We had a pact! What made you do this?” he exclaimed. She said: “I don’t know. I was tempted to enter this boutique and saw the dress. Then I found myself trying it on. It was like the Devil was whispering to me, ‘Wow, you look great in that dress. You should buy it!’ I did not know what to do!”

“Well,” the Pastor persisted, “You know how to deal with him! You should have told the devil: Get behind me, Satan!” “I did,” replied the wife, “But when the devil went behind me; he said: ‘Oh my God, the dress looks great from the back, too!”
