EDITOR: On Tuesday, President Museveni wrote a long article entitled "There is no way the NRM party can be on the decline". Granted, the NRM might not be declining but the recent events during the NRM primaries for the party's flag bearers, if not well handled, might trigger the beginning of its decline!
We all appreciate the NRM's achievements but most political parties that have lost the goodwill of their supporters began with failure to control their members, failed procedures and unfair treatment of members.
We should not go on the defensive. Instead we should investigate and deal with the individuals (problem) that are causing all the mess that is going on, especially how the NRM secretariat and the national office are being run!
