THREE Uganda People Congress (UPC) candidates vying for the parliamentary seat and LC5 chair went through unopposed in the newly-created Nwoya district during their primary election over the weekend.

Zeru Abukha was selected to vie for Nwoya parliamentary seat, Filda Mary Lanyero will stand as Woman MP, while Charles Okello Ayai will be the LC5 chairperson flag-bearer.
The candidates will compete with those from other parties in the 2011 general elections.
