Luwero Muslims sue Mufti Mubajje

NINE Muslim officials from Luwero district have sued the Mufti of Uganda, Sheikh Ramadhan Mubajje, for failing to appoint a khadi for the district.

NINE Muslim officials from Luwero district have sued the Mufti of Uganda, Sheikh Ramadhan Mubajje, for failing to appoint a khadi for the district.

The suit was filed on Tuesday at the Kampala High Court through Kusiima and Company Advocates.

Jointly sued with Mubajje is the chairman of the district Muslim council, Haji Ibrahim Mugalu Kyobe. The petitioners are Haji Muhamud Kadala, Abdul Latif Walakira, Sheikh Ibrahim Khamis, Sheikh Umaru Mukasa, and Haji Khalid Musisi.

Others are Haji Abdul Rahman Ssebowa, Haji Abdul Hakim Kyagulanyi, Sheikh Abdallah Nsubuga and Ahmed Magala Tebusweke. They said Mubajje had “neglected and failed” to fulfil his duty.
