SC Villa will serve their one ban by taking on army side Simba FC under closed doors at Luzira Maximum Prisons Stadium. The ground is home venue for Prison’s side Maroons.

Uganda Super League Limited (USLL) ordered the 16-time record league winners Villa to play at Luzira and under closed doors as a punishment for a wave of hooliganism by their supporters.

Rowdy supporters beat up URA’s assistant coach Ibrahim Kirya protesting the team’s injury-time equaliser in the 1-1 draw.

At the same time, USLL moved five matches elsewhere after the closure of Mandela National Stadium Namboole for renovation early this week.

The stadium management explained that action will return to the facility after the renovation due to last one month.

The matches affected also involve Police, URA who use Namboole as their home ground.

USLL board secretary Mujib Kasule explained that they were forced to move from Namboole so that the league is not interrupted.
