WINGER Sula ‘Malouda’ Matovu and defender Simeon Masaba have been ruled out of Cranes opening game of next year’s Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) finals due in Khartoum.

WINGER Sula ‘Malouda’ Matovu and defender Simeon Masaba have been ruled out of Cranes opening game of next year’s Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) finals due in Khartoum.

Matovu received two yellow cards in the two-legged qualifier against Kenya, while skipper Masaba was sent off for dissent in the Nairobi return leg.

Matovu scored the only goal in the Cranes 1-0 win over Kenya in the first leg in Kampala before the team qualified on away goals rule despite a 2-1 defeat in the return leg in Nairobi.

The draws for the finals will be held November 27.

Others in the finals are hosts Sudan, Algeria, Tunisia, Mali, Senegal, I. Coast, Ghana, Niger, Cameroon, Gabon, DR Congo, S. Africa, Angola and Zimbabwe.
