Namuyangu stands in Kibuku

STATE minister for water, Jennifer Namuyangu, was on Thursday nominated to contest the Kibuku county MP seat in the newly-created Kibuku district on an independent ticket.

STATE minister for water, Jennifer Namuyangu, was on Thursday nominated to contest the Kibuku county MP seat in the newly-created Kibuku district on an independent ticket.
Namuyangu, who lost the NRM primaries to the incumbent, Saleh Kamba, NRM, was cleared by the district registrar and returning officer, Sarah Kabukaire, at about 10.00am.
Also cleared for the Kibuku MP seat was former area MP, Rainer Kafire, DP and Moses Wagira, independent. Susan Nakangu, independent, was the only candidate nominated for the Kibuku woman MP seat. Sarah Wenene, NRM flag bearer is expected to turn up today for nominations as is Kamba.
