ZIVOJNOV Srdjan, a former coach of Tanzanian giants Yanga, is the Serb whose signature SC Villa is after.

Villa wants Srdjan to replace Sula Kato who was sacked on Monday after the club plunged to its worst form ever.

Talks with Srdjan’s agent are in advanced stages, according to sources.

The 38-year old Srdjan coached youth sides of Serbia premier league side Dynamo Pancevo from 2001 to 2007. He then joined Yanga FC in Dar es Salaam leading them to the Vodacom league title.

He led Yanga to the CAF Champions League second round, a result he repeated the following year with the Tanzanian side.

Villa are also considering Bulgarian Vasil Toolozov Takov.

Takov, who holds a UEFA A license, has coached in Bulgaria, Algeria, Bahrain, Maldives and South Africa.

Geoff Hudson and Micho Sredojevich are the other foreign coaches the Jogoos have previously had.
