SC Villa new coach Srdjan Zivojnov handed the club’s faithful a timely New Year present after humiliating Kagulu in a 6-0 win in the Uganda Cup.

It was the Serbian’s first fixture since joining the giants last month on a Sh10m-a-month two-year contract.

The reward was a date against URA in the round of 32, who were 3-1 winners over Nakivubo Boys.

Erukanah Nkugwa and Emma Kalyowa notched braces while Asuman Alishe and Elias Sekisambu notched the other goals.

Holders Victors were 4-0 winners over Mbale Heroes and will face another giant killer Mutundwe Sandlanders, who ejected KCC FC 2-1 in the opening match on Wednesday.

Yudah Mugalu opened the scores for Victor in the 12th minute when he curled in from the left before setting up Michael Katende for the second goal just after recess.

Eric Ssebuguzi and Hood Kaweesa completed the routing in the 54th and 76th minutes respectively.

After a late 2-1 over Amazon, Bunamwaya will confront giant killers Katwe United, who ejected Ugand Super League side Masaka with a 1-0 win.

Proline and Kireka advanced without kicking the ball after their opponents Ngora Fred Carr and Super League side Gulu United respectively failed to show up.

The Express and Maroons games were called off due to heavy rains.

Record holders Express SC’s bid was delayed after their game against Happy Boys was postponed after a heavy downpour at Nabbingo left the bear grounds muddy. The next round resumes on January 6.
