CHARLES Kareeba will return unopposed as captain at the Uganda Golf Club (UGC) elections due February 20.

CHARLES Kareeba will return unopposed as captain at the Uganda Golf Club (UGC) elections due February 20.
The polls will be preceded by the traditional Captain’s Prize tournament at the UGC Kitante course on Saturday.
Sponsored by Hima Cement, the competition will draw over 100 members of the country’s leading club.
Kareeba will lead the way at his own competition that will tee off at 8.00am.
A new committee will then be ushered into office to serve a one-year term.
Kareeba is unopposed and the deadline for nominations passed last week.
Also set to return unchallenged is the treasurer Phil Barnard. Sam Byagagaire was nominated unopposed as the new secretary.
He takes over from Sam Muwanga who resigned last year. Daniel Kagwe battles Engineer Ruta for the post of vice Captain.
