THE directorate of information has said the recent disruption of Uganda Television services was caused by a blown component in the Nakasero satellite up-link station, reports Edris Kisambira.
The state-run UTV was off air from Saturday afternoon to Monday evening. Technicians have since fixed the problem that also affected six FM radio stations that use the satellite system to broadcast.
A director in the information ministry, Okullu Mura said the amplifier blew up due to power fluctuations. Ends
