SHELL (U) Ltd will on Saturday honour the best participants in the just concluded Friends Of Football (FOF) organised U-16 football tournament. Central Yellow beat Rubaga Maroon to the tournament trophy and players from the two teams, and the best eleven will be honoured with shopping vouchers for scholastic materials at Aristoc Bookshop.

TOTAL offers
TOTAL Uganda has offered 1000 litres of fuel worth sh1.7m to the Women’s Fan Sprint at Lubiri circuit tomorrow. Federation of Motor sport Clubs of Uganda general secretary Corinne Hafner, the co-ordinator of the sprint, secured the package. “It is important that we provide fuel to drivers,” Hafner said.

Tebazalwa!
JOURNEYMAN Abdul Tebazalwa has his lucky stars to thank after being recalled to the Bombers camp for the Africa Zone Five boxing championship. “We considered his experience after his plea,” Uganda Amateur Boxing Federation secretary Sande Musoke said of the former Olympian. The former bantamweight returned from Denmark recently.

NFLC closes
NATIONAL Football League Committee (NFLC) has closed the Kakungulu Cup registration after 71 teams entered the event. NFLC secretary Justus Mugisha said all NSSL teams registered but said that the number is lower than the record 96 teams last year. Ends
