I said nothing about cabinet reshuffle

SIR— thank you for giving press coverage of my meeting with cadres in Luweero on February 27.

SIR— thank you for giving press coverage of my meeting with cadres in Luweero on February 27. Much of what you published was accurate except for one point; “Cabinet reshuffle is coming soon.”

To the best of my recollection, I neither talked about, nor alluded to a cabinet reshuffle. It is also unfortunate that the article dragged in Mrs Miria Matembe whose name never crossed my lips.

Secondly, my office has no access to information regarding cabinet nominations or reshuffles. It is not even privileged to have it.

Therefore Mr Moses Byaruhanga is correct when he says I am not a spokesman for the presidency. I am not aware, even on the grapevine, of any pending cabinet reshuffle.

My job is to expound the Movement principles, values and practices to the populace. Ugandans should take advantage of them so as to escape poverty.
