UGANDANS constituted the majority of visitors to the Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP) last year, reports John Nzinjah.
The QENP warden in charge of tourism, Patrick Tushabe, said over 24,000 tourists visited the western rift valley park.
“Last year has shown that Ugandans are beginning to feel that the tourism industry is theirs,” he said in an interview at Mweya, recently.
He said the United Kingdom followed Uganda in tourist numbers to QENP.Ends
