THE Baptist Church Mission of Uganda has distributed 750 bags of maize flour worth sh37.5m to the internally displaced people (IDPs) living in various camps in Lira municipality, reports <b>James Oloch.</b><br>

THE Baptist Church Mission of Uganda has distributed 750 bags of maize flour worth sh37.5m to the internally displaced people (IDPs) living in various camps in Lira municipality, reports James Oloch.
Pastor Marks Alenyo of Baptist Church, Lira branch said the flour would be distributed to IDPs in various counties including, Otuke, Moroto, Erute north and parts of Erute south in Lira district.
Alenyo appealed to the Government, international organisations and local NGOs to respond quickly to save the lives of the IDPs, who have been forced to live in camps, due to the Kony rebel incursions and cattle rustling.
He called on the Government to improve security in the district. Ends
