Ahmed Washaki, the chairman of Bungokho sub-county in Mbale, has asked the district authorities to resolve a land dispute between Bungokho and Kachonga sub-county in Tororo district, reports Isaac Wanyera.
Washaki said Kachonga residents had encroached on their land along the common border. He was addressing a sub-county security meeting following the shooting dead of Mabanga village secretary for defence Majidu Wandalanda.
Mbale resident district commissioner Abbas Sseguya asked local council security committees to report security concerns to his office.
