THE assistant chief administrative officer in charge of Dokolo county, Allan Ajal, has called upon sub-counties in Lira district to ensure that work plans of NGOs are incorporated into their budgets.

Ajal said this was necessary in order to avoid duplication of resources during implementation.

He said this while meeting district leaders at Dokolo sub-county headquarters recently.

Ajal had gone with the district secretary for works, Walter Amiko Owidi, to assess the performance of sub-counties.

They later proceeded to Agwatta sub-county to conduct a similar assessment.

Amiko was happy that the two sub-counties had mainstreamed gender in their development plans.

He also noted that sub-counties were improving their performance in regard to Government projects.

They toured roads, wells, latrines, health centres, schools, and community centres.
