ACCRA - Ghana have sacked coach Burkhard Ziese after just four matches in charge, ending weeks of speculation over the future of the 59-year-old German. A Ghana Football Association statement yesterday said Ziese's contract had been terminated after the country's failure to qualify for next year's African Nations Cup finals.

NATIONAL cricket coach Justine Ligyalingi left for Nairobi yesterday for a one-week high performance clinic conducted by ICC official Bob Wolmer at the Gymkhana club. Ligyalingi is currently handling the national squad ahead of the 2007 World Cup qualifiers slated for early next year.
