Cops finish
KAMPALA — The Police yesterday announced the completion of investigations into a sh600m fraud case against the Electoral Commission (EC) accountant, Bethel Ssaku Walusimbi. Walusimbi, who is also a principal witness in another sh300m fraud case against six of his colleagues, will go on trial starting September 26.

Correction
IN our story on page 4 yesterday, ‘Auditor pins URA staff’, we reported that Uganda Revenue Authority Audit department recovered over sh700m in undervalued goods. The true story should have been URA Audit department discovered a loss of over sh700m caused by customs officers. We regret any inconvenience and embarrassment caused to the parties concerned.
