<b>Man held on defilement</b><br>Kayunga – Police have arrested a man in Mutukula for allegedly defiling a 6-year-old girl. Amuzah Sselengeti was allegedly caught redhanded by residents near a well on Tuesday. Police said Sselengeti would be charged with defilment.

Bursar gets six years
NAKASONGOLA – Court on Tuesday sentenced the bursar of Nakasongola SSS to six years for theft. Grade I magistrate Esther Nambayo convicted Fredrick Zziwa of stealing sh3m from last year’s O-level candidates.

‘Pray for leaders’
Wakiso – The Archdeacon of Gayaza, the Rev. Canon Mugarura, has called for special prayers for Government leaders so that they realise the danger of indecent dressing and ban it. Mugarura recently made the remarks during the burial of Esther Mutebi in Nangabo.

Family poisoned
luweero – A three-year-old girl died and others were admitted to hospital in critical condition after a family of 12 ate poisoned food at the weekend. The incident took place in the home of Sula Sengooba of Lumuli village, Bamunaanika.
