PATRICK Ochan and Jimmy Okello sparkled with the ball as the Uganda U-19 cricket team beat fancied Kenya by 93 runs in their second 2004 World Cup trial in Johannesburg yesterday.

Batting first, Uganda amassed 212 runs for the loss of seven wickets with experienced players Hamza Saleh (47), Fred Isabirye (43) and Raymond Otim (34) outstanding.

Inspired by a brilliant pace bowling and excellent fielding, the pace attack of Ochan (4/27) and Okello (3/24) limited Kenya to 28/5 in 13 overs.

The Ugandans ensured five catches to limit the opponents to a paltry score of 119/ all out with eleven overs at hand.

Uganda plays an invitational XI tomorrow before they leave for Windhoek on Thursday.
