KABALE – The District Police Commander, Amoru Martin, has said two bodies of victims of the tragic Katuna bus accident have not been claimed. The medical superitendent of Kabale Hospital, Dr. Sam Tuwesigire, said the bodies had been treated and may be preserved for a week.

RDC advises
MBARARA – The assistant resident district commissioner, Sarah Bananuka, has told district leaders to keep records as a means of accountability. Bananuka was closing a leadership skill-training workshop for women leaders at Thorn Tree Agricultural Training Centre in Rwampara recently.

KASESE – The new Chief Administative Officer, Giles Kahika, has called for harmony while handling the controversial Bakonzo kingdom Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu. Kahika, was speaking at the inauguration of “Concerned Elders and Opinion Leaders” forum in Kisinga subcounty recently.

Mock results
KASESE – The district Inspector of Schools, Elisha Muliwabyo, said Mother Care Preparatory School performed best in this year’s PLE mock examinations. Muliwabyo said Mother Care got 51% in division one, followed by Namuhuga and Equator schools.

Defilement
KASESE – Police are holding a 17-year-old boy, Alex Kato, for allegedly defiling a 4-year-old. Police quoted the suspect as having claimed that he committed the act under the influence of marijuana. The District CID boss, Musa Kirenzi, said Kato comes from Kahendero village.
