The Kampala deputy town clerk, William Tumwine, has said newspaper vendors should not sell other items.
Tumwine said this while meeting The New Vision circulation manager, Tom Wasswa, at KCC offices on Friday.
The meeting followed the eviction of about 60 vendors from the streets on Thursday by law enforcement officers.
He said the vendors were selling items like sweets and envelopes.
Tumwine said any vendor found selling other items will be arrested and prosecuted.
