BORN-again Christians (balokole), yesterday asked God to kill rebel leader, Joseph Kony if that’s what it would take to attain peace, reports Henry Mukasa.
They also prayed for the end of the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) insurgency, which they said had drained the economy.
“We pray for the end of the war in northern Uganda and Lord, if it means taking Kony’s life, so be it because it is you who gave him life,†Pastor Daudi Kiganda of the National Fellowship of Born Again Christians, said.
He was speaking at prayers ahead of Independence Day celebrations, at the Vice-President, Prof. Gilbert Bukenya’s home in Kakiri, Wakiso district.
The Uhuru celebrations are to take place at Kololo airstrip on Thursday.
