THE Parliamentary local government accounts committee has ordered officials from Nakasongola district to pay over sh14m they admitted had failed to recover, by December this year.

THE Parliamentary local government accounts committee has ordered officials from Nakasongola district to pay over sh14m they admitted had failed to recover, by December this year.
Appearing before the committee chaired by Yeri Ofwono, the chief administrative officer, Chrisestom Kayise and the chief finance officer, Jean-Sammy Aupal said the allowances totalling to sh14,751,200 could not be recovered because the officials concerned could not be traced.
