THE Minister of Internal Affairs, Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda (above), has told the Police and Prisons forces to protect borders against enemies.
“Be vigilant on terrorism and make sure that the borders are protected,” Rugunda told the forces.
He told the Police, Prisons and other security agencies to treat foreign nationals well.
Rugunda told the Police and Prison forces to join hands with the army and intelligence organs to ensure that enemies and robbers are eliminated.
“I urge you to consolidate your relationship with other security agents and jealously protect our country,” he said.
Rugunda was addressing the Police and Prison forces at Arua Police Ground recently.
He advised them to emulate the creativity of the army to solve some of the problems they were facing, especially accommodation.
He said the problem of accommodation was not only with the Police and Prisons but cut across other security organs in the country.
