ARUA – Local government minister Prof. Tarsis Kabwegyere has advised the district and sub-county leaders to improve the people’s incomes through modernising agriculture. He was speaking at a fundraising ceremony at St. Mary’s College Riki recently. A total of sh7.8m was raised.

Kids woes
LIRA – Children formerly abducted by the LRA have told the Belgian deputy prime minister, Louise Michele, that they were forced to marry LRA commanders and to fight the Sudan government. Michele was commissioning Rachele Rehabilitation Centre recently.

Varsity told
KUMI – The associate dean of Makerere University’s Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. Charles Rwabukwali, has urged Kumi University to emphasise quality education and discipline. He was meeting the university’s stakeholders at the campus during an inspection tour recently.
