Asaba, a wheelbarrow pusher in Kalerwe who resides at Mawanda road, recently fled his home after he was caught eating muchomo in the latrine.
Asaba, who is a seasoned drunkard usually goes home late in the night when his family of four have slept. As his share of food is usually kept on the stool which serves as a table, he does not disturb the sleeping family.
Unknown to the family Asaba usually comes with muchomo to spice up whatever food is kept for him. Unfortunately for him, he never keeps the kaveera in which he carried the meat well. Whenever his wife is cleaning the house, she keeps seeing a dirty kaveera. This had always puzzled her.
Asaba’s greed and selfishness recently caught up with him, sending him fleeing his home in the middle of the night.
On the fateful day, his family slept late, intending to see whether he would share the meat with his family. When he walked into the house and found everybody awake he excused himself to go to the latrine, but his wife suspected something was amiss. She followed him and found him standing in the middle of the latrine with his mouth stuffed with muchomo!
All hell broke loose as his wife started shouting at him. In shame, Asaba vanished into the night.
