NILE Computers has offered five air tickets to the national kick boxing team intending to participate in the Fyffes 2003 International Martial Arts Festival, in Sweden, November 9.

Uganda Kick Boxing Association (UKBA) had secured only two tickets for the team of twelve.

UKBA vice chairman Swaleh Kakonge (team leader) said the contingent departs for the Scottish Black Belt Academies organised event — their biggest competition ever, on November 6.

Other officials on the team include judges Sanyu Elinan and Grace Nakanyike.

Players making debuts at the world meet include team captain Badru Makumbi, Dan Kabanda, Patrick Nsubuga, Hussein Kawesa, Godfrey Kasule, Jeff Mayanja, Ismail Sebbi, John Senyonjo and Patrick Nsubuga.

Makumbi is confident his team is headed for success against the world’s finest martial artists.

The players will have their last test at the Eastern Africa Big Challenge Martial Arts competition against Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania at Eden Park Bwayise this weekend.
