Two employees of property mogul Sudhir Ruparellia have been charged with stealing more than sh25m.
Hetesh Vora, 45, and Patel Kibozha, 43, general manager and assistant manager respectively, of Speke Resort Bujagali were on Wednesday charged with embezzling the money between February 1 and May this year.
The court heard that the accused persons could not account for the money which reportedly came into their possession in the cause of their duties as managers of Speke Resort Bujagali and Speke Equator Rafts Ltd, both owned by Sudir Ruparellia.
The accused were represented by Erias Habakurama and denied the charges before Jinja Grade One magistrate.
They were remanded in Kirinya Prison in Jinja until November 12 for the hearing.
