LIRA district has interdicted the headmaster of Aliwang Primary School in Adwari sub-county, Otuke county, for alleged fraud, dishonesty, insubordination, indiscipline and administrative malpractices

LIRA district has interdicted the headmaster of Aliwang Primary School in Adwari sub-county, Otuke county, for alleged fraud, dishonesty, insubordination, indiscipline and administrative malpractices, writes Vision Reporter.

In a letter dated October 6, the chief administrative officer (CAO), Daniel Odwedo Ocheng, accused Nicolas Opio Oluma of embezzling the school’s sh2.96m Universal Primary Education funds.

Last financial year’s internal audit report said Oluma forged the signature of the school management committee chairperson to withdraw the money.

It also accused him of forgery, fighting a teacher at school and not respecting his supervisors.

All this happened between May 2002 and January 14, 2003.

The CAO said he forwarded the matter to the district service committee for disciplinary action.
