Nabweru court grade two magistrate Robert Imalingat recently sentenced three people to 12 months in jail for illegal possession of narcotics.
Walusimbi Hussein, a student of Citizens high school, David Lujja and Abdu Karim Bogere were convicted on their own plea of guilt.
Teacher jailed

Masaka High Court Judge Eldadi Mwangutsya recently sentenced Vincent Migadde, a teacher from St Maris Kabaale primary school, to three years imprisonment for defiling a 14-year-old girl.
Migadde committed the offense in March 2000.

The state minister for water, Maria Mutagamba, has expressed concern over the high rate of borehole break-down in the country.
Mutagamba raised the concern during the commissioning of a valley tank worth sh55m, in Lwabenge, Masaka district recently.
