A two-day youth coaches’ clinic ended yesterday with a call on parents in the country to co-operate with young boys and girls on how best to develop young talents. Ugandan coaches serving in the newly introduced Youth U-13 football league attributed the poor turn up of participants to the negative co-operation of their parents.

KAVF course
KAMPALA Amateur Volleyball Federation (KAVF) has organised a schools holiday clinic that starts on December 8 at Lugogo indoor stadium. The clinic that will run till January 30 is aimed at enhancing volleyball skills among secondary schools in and around Kampala. The national coach Tom Mutebi will conduct.

Tie pushed
THE volleyball league committee has postponed the fascinating KAVC versus KCC match. Secretary of the committee Sadik Nasiu said decision followed a request from KAVC who needed more time to prepare for their defence in the championships. The winner of KAVC-KCC league ender will take the title. KCC are yet to be announced women’s champion for 2003.

Refs on hold
KAMPALA referee’s beginner’s course originally set to start today has been postponed to December 15. “The decision to postpone up to 15, was done to give other people a chance.
