IRELAND has donated sh16.5b to AIDS programmes in the country.

The money will be disbursed for anti-AIDS projects up to 2005.

A senior Irish embassy official, Martin O’fainin, released part of the money yesterday to three non-governmental organisations; Uganda Network on Law, Ethics and Aids (sh211m), Uganda Red Cross Society (sh609m) and the National Forum of People Living with HIV/Aids Networks (sh352m).
