The children are girls aged between nine and 12 years.

The eldest, Fatuma Nakajigo, was picked from Mukono. She said her father is Sulaiman Kiganda of Masaka. Nakajigo does not know her mother’s name. She said her mother, who does not stay with her father, lives in Mbarara.

The second child, Irene Aloyo, is from Serere. She said her mother is Alupo Jessica. Aloyo was picked from Namuwongo in Kampala.

The youngest is Barbara Nalwele, 9, who said her mother is called Nalukwago from Mawogola and her father is Petero Yawe. She was picked from Mutungo.

Aguma said: “ We want to find out if there was child abuse at the children’s various homes.”
