UGANDA Golf Union (UGU) president Eric Adriko and his entire executive are set to bounce back in the polls on March 6.

The elections were postponed from today so they coincide with the UGU corporate golf tournament at Kitante.

“Nobody has shown interest in any position yet. Members of the council come from all the clubs in the country, so it is a good idea to have the meeting coincide with the corporate tournament,” UGU secretary Gad Musasizi said.

The polls were first supposed to take place last month but treasurer Tom Alwala was ill and the council could not proceed with the elections without the treasurer’s report.

The proceeds from the inaugural UGU corporate tournament will facilitate the team that will travel to Mombasa for the Junior World Championship qualifier next month.

Meanwhile, Uganda Golf Club goes to polls next week with the current captain Okullo Odom expected to be unopposed according the nominations so far.
