THE Captain’s Prize tournament will for the first time be held concurrently with the Lady Captain Prize at Uganda Golf Club (UGC) this Saturday.
The Captain’s Prize is in honour of newly re-elected UGC captain Okullo Odom while the current lady captain Fancy Ogweng will also be honoured through the Lady Captain’s Prize on the same day.
Hima Cement yesterday announced a sh30m package for the tournaments.
“Hima is proud to support these golf tournaments. It is our goal to enhance the experience of participants and members of the golf fraternity.
We look forward to continuing to positively impact on the lives of participants on and off the golf course,†Hima commercial manager Dennis Kishero said at the launch.
Kishero reiterated Hima Cement’s commitment to sponsorship of sports in Uganda. Hima has sponsored the Captain’s Prize since 2002.
The professionals will also take part in the event which promises to attract a large number of participants.
