I enjoyed the international children’s day of Broadcasting. I was on air and I had fun. I met many friends. I was suprised that many people listened to Vision Voice radio on that day. I live in Naguru flats.
Anthea, 8, P.3
Bethel Christian

March 1 was the International Children’s Day of Broadcasting (ICDB). This day is aimed at involving children in radio and television. On this day, children all over the world are given an opportunity to present programmes on radio and television. The theme of this year’s celebrations was Unite for Children: Tune in to Kids. Some of the children presenters speak out on the experience of being in the studios of Vision Voice

I was one of the children that hosted the show that day. I met new friends. One of them was Sheena. As guests, we drank loads of splash and ate cookies and cakes. At first I was scared because I had never presented on radio before. We talked about the environment, politics and unkind people.

I met Anne, Teo, Anthea, Angella and Suzi. I had fun with them, we discussed about what affects us as children. We talked about our aspirations and what we want to be in future. I enjoyed myself. Thanks New Vision and Vision Voice Radio for hosting us.

Being in the studios and entertaining people out there made me feel good. I also had fun with my new freinds whom I found at the Vision Voice radio. We talked, danced and ate a lot of cake which Ruth Nanjobe brought. We thanked her and drew cards for her mom. Then we went home.

When we were on radio, we talked about many topics but the main one was child sacrifice. We also discussed our hobbies and aspirations.
I made new friends like Anne, Angella, Kate, Teo, Anthea, Suzie and I would like to give thanks to Lucie, Kiiza and the Vision Group for making this happen .
