TEN top junior schools will participate in the third Aga Khan School junior swimming gala at Kololo today.

Two hundred participants from various local and international schools will be vying for various accolades in seven age categories.

“It is going to be a tight competition with a number of national junior swimmers battling for honours, but at the same we expect upsets,” the event coordinator Peter Nthiga said.

“We expect hotly contested battles and I believe records could be rewritten.”

The event is yet another held under the newly elected Uganda Swimming Federation (USF) executive led by Don Rukare.
The competition is part a USF programme to develop the sport in schools. Action at Aga Khan will be in a number of boy's and girl's events including the U-18 and U-12.
