RUKUNGIRI-Four people have died of TB in Rwoya village, Ndere parish in Ruhinda sub-county in three days. The LC3 chief, Bernard Mugarura, said James Tindigarukayo, Kemitasyo Katabazi, Immaculate Natukunda and Julius Kamanzi did not adhere to the treatment regime. He urged the residents to respect drug prescriptions. The health ministry assistant commissioner for epidemic surveillance, Dr. Issa Makumbi, said there was no cause for alarm.

LCs urged to enact by-laws
KYENJONJO-Deputy resident district commissioner Judith Rwakishumba has instructed LCs to enact by-laws to punish parents who fail to send their children to school and provide them lunch. Rwakishumba said at a fundraising drive at Nyaibanda Catholic Church on Tuesday that parents were slowing down Government programmes.
