Editor—I own a Shadow Honda motorcycle. I was in a traffic jam going to work recently when a young man driving a Toyota Starlet behind me started hooting and waving me out of the road!
The cars in the jam were hardly moving and I had no space for manoeuvre. I wondered where the young man would go even if I had given way! He closed in on me and I waited to see his intention.
Fortunately, he did not scratch my bike which, at sh12m, I am sure is more expensive than his Starlet. I would like to educate this young man that cyclists have equal rights to the road and he should respect all road users.
