Infanticide suspect held
KABALE-The Police are holding a 33- year-old mother for allegedly killing her new-born baby and dumping it in a pit latrine. The area Police chief, Julius Biryomumeisho, said Judith Tumwebaze, a resident of Katojo in Muko sub-county, delivered the baby on March 20. Biryomumeisho said Tumwebaze could have committed the offence in frustration after the baby’s father abandoned her. Tumwebaze, a mother of four, however, denied the allegations, saying she had a still birth.
